Where does the time go? Here is one of my goals this year: to expand my ATC collection.
This one didn't scan too well. The background paper is actually a light but dull pink and the edges of the card are stained with brown ink. Aside from that, you can see the 3-D postage stamp (from Stampers Anonymous) and the manila computer generated tag reading "Paris L'Amour."
More of my work this year should have added textural element.
I enjoyed working on this piece and love the wrapping paper background -- a gorgeous heavy-weight paper.

Okay, a really stupid question but what exactly is ATC? I tried googling it but I didn't find anything:)
ReplyDeleteI love the image, especially the French tag at the top :) It's really beautiful!
Sorry, Iva, I thought most people were familiar with ATCs!
ReplyDeleteThey're Artist Trading Cards and can't be sold but can be given away or, better, traded for another ATC. The size restriction locks the card into a 2.5 by 3.5 inch rectangle. Other than that, no restrictions! I've seen mixed media cards, 3-D cards, cards with buttons and many other embellishments, and even thin cards made from wood!
I'll be posting more in the future.
In the meantime, check out this link to Flickr's Artist Trading Card Group.
Now that you explained it, I think that I've come across such cards on Etsy, silly me! Thank you for taking the time to explain:) And also thank you for your wonderful comment on my blog! xo
